After an inspection of the facility it is determined there are no solid or electrical interferences in the facility.
As part of your proposal you will need to determine the number and placement of Wireless Access Points (WAPs) and their Channel and SSID setup. Also, provide information on any pitfalls, including any environmental issues that should be avoided to preserve the best connectivity, and the Wireless Standard you will recommend, and why.
Concerns
Answer
WAP placement
The center of a large area would be ideal for wireless access in an ideal situation depending on the distance to the clients.
WAP Quantity
Using a single WAP we can avoid issues of different SSID and interference in our service area.
Interference
Bluetooth devices and cordless phones operate on frequencies that could potentially disrupt network connectivity.
Channels
We can use channel 1. Or 6 or 11. So i'll just say 1 for now.
SSID
Since there is no instruction in regards to SSID we will not broadcast the SSID and train individuals on network access on a need to know basis.
Wireless standard to be used and why
The 802.11n wireless standard has the best coverage per WAP and is suitable for the coverage of the entire area as well as the highest data throughput speed which is essential for providing network access and connectivity to so many nodes.
